After several years of travel in escape of his creditors, he settles down in Heiden in 1887. He is already marked with illness. His article, published in the magazine “Über Land und Meer”, draws European-wide attention to the situation of the forgotten founder of the Red Cross. The last station of Dunant’s life – his contact with friends and patrons, and the restoration of his reputation – are documented here. In a reconstruction of part of his room you can see some objects that belonged to Henry Dunant.
