Special exhibition „Peace Bell“

Exhibition to the nuclear war 1945 in Nagasaki

The exhibition with the story of the Peace Bell from Japan is connected with the dropping of an atomic bomb on Nagasaki on 9th August, 1945.

The results of the powerful explosion are impressively illustrated and moves one to reflect on this. The bell from Japan has become a symbol of peace. The bell, with the art installation by Lucie Schenker, has been given a place of honour.

The art installation with the Peace Bell is found next to the Henry Dunant Museum in Heiden and is freely accessible.It was first displayed in April 2011.
