Tables for private peace talks

The powerful symbol of the Red Cross founder and his work is an interactive art project in a public place, created by the concept artist, H. R. Fricker.

The „table for private peace talks“ was exhibited on Friday, 23rd April, 2009 at the Dunant–Platz in Heiden. The table for private peace talks has the shape of a cross.

White seats complete the sculpture to the well known emblem of the Red Cross. The positioning of the four tables, in different places in parks, and public places in Heiden create a protected environment for peace talks to take place.

Three of the four tables have been donated. The first table found a place with the Secretary General of the German Red Cross in Berlin on 16th September 2010.
